Jane was born August 28, 1946 in Saint Paul, Minnesota, daughter of Clements Holzemer and Henrietta Barbara (Reinardy) Holzemer. She grew up in Saint Paul, Minnesota and graduated with an Associate's degree in Nursing from Moberly Area College in Missouri.

Jane was a strong woman of faith and will be remembered most for her relationship with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was also a strong lover of animals, especially her horse, Freckles, and her dog, Bella.

She was a nurturer by nature, and she loved to care for others. Her career as a nurse allowed her to spread that love to countless others. That being said, the light of her life was her family.

She is preceded in death by her father.

Survivors include her mother, Henrietta Morrison; her husband, Jerry Cook; children, Michael Schroeder (Anna) and Cindy Sommer (Don); grandchildren, Jordan Docusen (Chandler), Jasmin Schroeder, Dayne Sommer (Erica), and Kaylin Sommer; great-grandson, Steel Sommer; brother, Glen Holzemer (Ginny); and many extended family members and dear friends.
