JANIS BUNDY EZERNACK, passed away on Sunday, September 10 at the age of 70 years. She was born on February 3, 1947 in Houston, Texas. Janis graduated from Milby High School in Houston, Texas and received her Associates degree in Physical Education at San Jacinto Junior College. Janis was currently employed as the Office Manager with UT Southwestern in the Community Prevention Department. She had previously worked for Grainger (Roanoke, Texas) and also Recognition Equipment Incorporated (Dallas, TX).Janis was preceded in death by her parents, Claude Daniel Bundy & Mildred Elzora Bundy, sister-in-law, Doris Jones, brother-in-law, Glenn Jones and brother-in-law, Bernie Dwyer. She is survived by two daughters, Jana Ezernack Wheaton and husband, Travis (Aledo, Texas), and Shelby Ezernack Carnahan and husband, Hayden (Houston, Texas) along with two grandsons, Tanner and Trevor Wheaton, granddaughter, Tatum Wheaton, the much anticipated arrival of granddaughter, Charlotte Carnahan (due in December) and former husband, Patrick Ezernack (Arlington, Texas). Janis is also survived by brother-in-law Jerry Ezernack and wife Cindy and sister-in-law, Lois Dwyer, along with numerous nieces and nephews and three godsons: Gary Michael Burke, Zach Ezernack and Kyle Ezernack. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 14 from 10:00-11:00 AM at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM officiated by Monsignor Publius Xuereb. Interment will be held Friday at 1:30 PM at Mt. Olivet Cemetery located in Paul’s Valley, Oklahoma. Pallbearers are Travis Wheaton, Hayden Carnahan, Randy Mapes, Kyle Ezernack, Zach Ezernack and Dalton Ezernack. Janis was a devoted daughter, an amazing mother and a loving Mimi. Her heart belonged to her daughters and she loved the special relationship she had with her grandchildren. She was a wonderful friend and a respected colleague to those she worked with. Losing Janis has meant that our world is a little darker without her, but heaven has gained a shining star that will light our way and love us from afar.
