Jedd Douglas Wilson, known affectionately as Doug, was born on March 20, 1948, in Ravenden, Arkansas, and passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2025. He spent his final years in Weatherford, where he was a beloved community member.
Visitation: 6:00 p.m. Thursday, January 23, 2025 at White’s Funeral Home, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford.
Graveside Service: 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 24, 2025 at Annetta Cemetery in Annetta.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Wounded Warriors Project on behalf of Doug.
Doug had a distinguished career as a master electrician. He proudly served in the Navy, where he served in Vietnam, developing a strong sense of duty and commitment that characterized his life. He was known for his work ethic and his ability to bring light to the lives of those around him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Garland and Ethel Wilson; and his grandson, Anthony Moss.
Doug is survived by his devoted daughter and son-in-law, Laney and Shae Smith; and his cherished grandchildren, Michael and Kaitlyn Martin, and Hunter and Cayman Smith; and great-grandchildren, Kinsley and Anthony Martin.
His legacy will live on through his family, who will remember him for his kindness, strength, and unwavering support. Doug will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
