Jene Foote, artist, teacher, historian and beloved friend, died peacefully on Tuesday, April 11, 2017.Graveside Service:  11 a.m. Tuesday, April 18, 2017 in East Greenwood Cemetery, Weatherford.Memorials:  In lieu of flowers, please make donations to animal charities of your choosing.A long time resident of Parker County, Jene was born on August 28, 1927 in Alvarado.  She attended schools in Balboa, Panama, Our Lady of Victory, Fort Worth, and graduated from Arlington Heights High School, where she was a champion tennis player.  Jene worked at Fort Worth National Bank and was a draftsman for Texaco.  In 1963, she graduated from TCU with a BS in Education and taught art at Theodore Willis for 20 years.  Jene's passion for animals, nature and all things Southwest was reflected in her art which sustained her all her life.Jene is survived by her lifelong friend, Joann Evans; her first cousin, Leon Hallman; and numerous other relatives and many, many friends.Services are in care of White's Funeral Home, Weatherford
