Jesse Cantu

Jesse Cantu, age 66, began his glorious journey Tuesday, March 31, 2022. Mass of Christian Burial: 10 a.m. Friday, April 8, 2022, St. Stephen Catholic Chapel, 211 South Main St., Weatherford. Interment: East Greenwood Cemetery, Weatherford. Visitation: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. with Rosary at 6:30 p.m. in White’s Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. Jesse was born August 25, 1955 in Mexico to Jesus & Petra Valtierra Cantu. The family moved to Weatherford in 1957. Jesse graduated from Weatherford High School, Class of 1973. He attended Weatherford College and TSI in Waco and Odessa. Jesse was a welder by trade, employed at Lockheed Martin for numerous years and Cantu Lawn Care. He enjoyed reading history books, fishing and playing pool. Jesse was preceded in death by his father, Jesus Cantu. He is survived by his mother, Petra Valtierra Cantu; brothers, Arturo Cantu and wife, Ladonna, and Steve Cantu; sisters, Patricia Cantu Aspan, and Teresa Cantu Vasquez and husband, Daniel; nephews, Stephen Argumaniz, Chris Cantu, and Gabriel Vasquez; nieces, Jacquie Mask, and Catherine Vasquez; and numerous cousins, extended family members and friends.
