Jim Wilcher was called to his home in Heaven on March 26, 2022. He was born in Miami, Florida on October 1, 1957 to James and Bobbie Wilcher. He married the love of his life, Freeda, on April 22, 2000. He worked for Brazos River Authority and loved his job and working with his co-workers. His passion and pride and joy were his kids and grandkids. He would tell you, they are my heart and they are what I live for. He was an exceptional husband, dad, brother, son, uncle, and poppa. His hobbies were wood working, tinkering on cars and trucks, but most of all spending time with his family. He had a "Selfless devotion to helping others whenever they asked it of him". He served in the U.S. Army. He is preceded in death by his Mom, Bobbie Wilcher; mother-in-law, Marti Ford; father-in-law, Don Ford; son, Bobby Don Wilson; and grandson, Weston Don Ford. Survivors: Wife, Freeda; daughter, Angie and husband, Josh; sons, Cody and wife, Christy, Wesley and fiance, Taylor, and Dakota and fiance, Aleia; and grandkids, Adam, Hayden, Garrett, Paxton, and Ashlynn. There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
