Jimmie Lea Gouge, 99, of Weatherford, Texas, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, March 31, 2025. Born on November 26, 1925, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Jasper Lawrence Hart and Minnie Belle Pitts, Jimmie was a living example of grace and love.
A visitation will be held on Monday, April 7, 2025, 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at White’s Funeral Home, 130 Houston Avenue, Weatherford, Texas 76086.

On November 7, 1942, Jimmie married the love of her life, Perry Daniel Gouge, Sr. Together, they shared nearly 75 years of marriage, a testament to their love and commitment to one another, until his passing in 2017.
A devoted Christian, Jimmie was a long-time member of North Main Church of God. She was a woman of unwavering faith; a virtuous servant of the Lord. Jimmie raised her children in the knowledge and love of Christ, teaching them by her example of patience, kindness, and devotion.
Jimmie was known for her hospitality and her home cooked meals were a gift she joyfully shared with all who entered her home. Her family will forever remember her as "Mimi," a loving grandmother who poured out her heart in every meal and every moment spent together.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Perry Daniel Gouge, Sr.; her son, Gary L. Gouge; one great-great-grandchild; three brothers; and three sisters.
Jimmie is survived by her son, Perry "Dan" Gouge and wife, Emilie; daughters, Cheryl Ivey and husband, Earl, and Rhonda Guyton; 12 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 27 great great-grandchildren, all of whom she held close to her heart and cherished deeply.
Though Jimmie’s earthly journey has ended, her soul rests in the arms of the Savior she loved so deeply. Her life was a reflection of the words in Proverbs 31:28—"Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her." Jimmie’s faith, love, and devotion will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
