Jimmy David "Dave" Carter

Jimmy David "Dave" Carter passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at his home in Weatherford. Service: 1:00 P.M. Friday, August 23, 2019 at White's Chapel of Memories, Weatherford. Interment: Indian Creek Cemetery, Mineral Wells. Visitation: 6 to 8 P.M. Thursday, August 22, 2019 at White's Funeral Home, Weatherford. Dave was born August 11, 1940 in Electra, Texas His careers years were spent at Western Company and Lockheed Martin as a Health and Safety Instructor. His happiest times were spent on his Uncle's ranch in Oklahoma during his youth and teens and later on the Ulmer Ranch in Morgan Mills.Woodworking was his enjoyment in retirement. Dave met his wife, Diane, at square dancing and they continued square dancing with the Roadrunners Square Dance Club for their 25 years of marriage. Survivors: Beloved wife, Diane; daughters, Tammy Brown of Whitesboro, and Kelly Powell of Pilot Point; son, Scott Carter of Allen; daughters, Kimberly Valesco of Houston; Tiffany Carter of South Dakota; and stepson, David Merrill of Hunnington Beach, CA; sister, Carla Carter; cousin, Bobby Carter; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and many friends  and family members.
