Jimmy Davis Turner

Jimmy Davis Turner, 79, of Azle, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2023. Jimmy was born January 27, 1944, to Willy D and Jackie Turner, in Grand Prairie, TX. He was the most loving, patient, and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Upon graduation from Grand Prairie High School, Jimmy joined the Army to honorably serve his country. Upon leaving the military Jimmy married the love of his life, Martha Payne Turner and they were together until her passing, July 12, 2012. Jimmy was well loved, had the personality and natural charisma to make friends no matter the situation. He loved to tell stories and play the guitar. Jimmy was a truly great man whose impact will be forever felt by his family, who loved him dearly. Jimmy was a selfless man whose passing left an unfillable gap in the hearts of his loved ones. His ability to sacrifice, provide, support, and love will be forever ingrained in all he knew. Survivors include daughter, Tracy and husband, Daniel; son, William; grandchildren, Gillian, Turner, Layla and Layne; and his great-grandson Walker.
