Jimmy Dale Scott

Jimmy Dale Scott, 75, passed away on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, in Weatherford. Funeral Service: 10 a.m. Thursday, August 12, 2021, in White's Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. Interment: 2 p.m. Thursday at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas. Jimmy was born February 5, 1946, in Bennington, Oklahoma, son of H.C. and Stella Howard Scott. Jimmy Retired from General Motors after 37 years of service. During his tenure at General Motors, he met and married his wife, Melissa. They went on to spend 32 happy years together. Jimmy also enjoyed building, and while working for General Motors, he also built houses “on the side.” Of all of the things Jimmy did in life, his family was his first love. He enjoyed big holiday and birthday celebrations. Jimmy loved to travel, and he did so a lot. He also enjoyed playing dominoes with his friends, which he did twice a week. Jimmy was preceded in death by his father, RC Scott and mother, Stella Joe Howard; and siblings, Bill, Joe, Ray, Glen, Jack, Mary and Sue. He is survived by his wife, Melissa Scott; son, Robert Scott; daughters, Nicole Shope, and Jennifer Bullard; granddaughters, Madison Shope, and Lily Bullard. Jimmy had a zest for life and will be missed by all who knew him.
