Gill proudly and bravely served his country in the United States Navy during the Korea Era. He would go on to retire from the Navy with the rank of Captain. Following his military service, Gill would go on to work for Texas Electric Service Company, serving such large clients as Six Flags.

He met and married the love of his Life Nancy Ruth Jones, and they would spend nearly 50 wonderful years together until her passing in 2002.

Gill was an avid boater and loved to sail. He was very active in the Power Squadron.

Of all of his interests in life, his first love was his family. His children and grandchildren were the light of his life. Because of this love of family, he would “tolerate” Nancy and their daughters love for horses and would even build a barn for the horses.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and his beloved wife, Nancy Boatman.

Survivors include his daughters, Barbara Boatman and Sara Langston (Mark); grandsons, Robert Langston and Brad Langston; great-granddaughter, Lyndon Langston; many extended family members and a lifetime of friends.
