John Dougherty

John Dougherty passed away Sunday, January 9, 2022 at his home in Weatherford. Visitation: 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, January 13, 2022, White’s Funeral Home 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. Funeral Service: 10 a.m. Friday, January 14, 2022 in White’s Chapel of Memories. John was born July 12, 1946 in Laredo, son of James and Juanita Lopez Dougherty. He was born in humble circumstances, but it was his intelligence and exceptional work ethic that would go on to make him successful. John worked for Lockheed Martin as a Wind Tunnel Model Builder, retiring after 28 years of service. He met and married, Beth Beattie, in 1988 and they would go on to spend 33 happy years together. John is preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers. He is survived by his loving wife, Beth Dougherty; sons, Johnny of Granbury, and Joe Lewis of Fort Worth; daughters, Syndi of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Megan Templo (Mike), of Fort Worth; 7 grandchildren; two brothers; two sisters; and many other extended family members and friends.
