Graveside Service: 2:15 p.m. Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy., Dallas.
John was born August 6, 1945 in Bristol, Connecticut, son of Edmund and Anna (Panik) Komoroski.
In 1965, John entered the United States Air Force, serving in the medical field, where he proudly and honorably served his country for over 14 years. Later, he went on to work for the USPS as a mail carrier, laboring through all forms of inclement weather (as well as unfriendly dogs) while diligently and faithfully providing for his family, until his retirement in 2007. He met and married the love of his life Christina while stationed at CAFB in October of 1967, they had six children together and remained married for over 57 years. Though military service had them stationed in several different locations globally over their first several years of marriage, they eventually settled down in Texas to raise their family.
John, or as some called him “Big John” because of his 6’6” tall frame, was a very intelligent and generous man. He loved to joke around, laugh with others and had such a great sense of humor, his laugh will be greatly missed. He sure loved his football, a dedicated and loyal Cowboys fan no matter their record. His faith in Christ was very important to him, he diligently read the Word and attended St. Stephen’s for many years.
John is preceded in death by his parents Edmund & Anna Komoroski, his brother Bobby Komoroski, his sister Carol and her husband Ken Bilodeau, as well as his daughter in law Mikyoung.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Christina M. Komoroski, his six children and their spouses, Craig Komoroski, Jenine Komoroski, Cheryl Kozura and her husband Keith, Jamie Hansen and her husband Nick, Cori Olivares and her husband Mike, Josh Komoroski and his wife Brittany. Along with 11 grandchildren and their spouses, Sofia and her husband Greg, Johnny, Michael, Tyler, Elijah and his wife Kayla, Isaiah, Alexandra, Mike, Ezra, Luke and Cara.
John was a man who loved the Lord our God and his family, initially wanting 12 children. He will be greatly missed.
