Johnie Evelyn Parker, a longtime resident of Azle, born November 4, 1929, left this life Sunday, January 30, 2022, and went to be with our heavenly Father and the love of her life, Phillip Leslie Parker. Graveside Service: 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Hoggard-Reynolds Cemetery, Azle. Visitation: 9:00 to 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at White’s Azle Funeral Home. Johnie graduated high school from Haslet and a few years later the family moved to Azle. She met Les at Ash Creek Baptist Church and they dated a couple of years before they married July 5, 1952 and spent 55 years together until he passed in November of 2007. Les and Johnie traveled a lot prior to his passing. Johnie worked at Trammell’s Village Resturant for 20 years before she retired. She was a member of the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church of Springtown. Johnie has lived the last few years at the Wren Place Assisted Living and has been very active and made many loving friends, including the staff. Survivors include brothers, Robert Beauchamp and Jerry Beauchamp (Opal); son, John Phillip Parker (Barbara); daughter, Merry Evelyn Cashion (Russell); grandchildren, Mitchell Parker (Kenda), Desiree Kyrisch, John Cashion (Jenny), Marc Cashion (Meagan), Macie Slocum (Bryan); great-grandchildren, Braden Parker, Kaylin Parker, Lilen Kyrisch, Jack Cashion and Maddie Slocum; and a host of loving family and friends. The family would like to thank Dawn Taylor, Director, and staff at the Wren Place Assisted Living in Cleburne for loving Johnie like family. We would also like to thank One Point Hospice for being with us the last couple of months. Johnie was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend and will be missed by everyone that knew her.
