Justin Jeremy Ward, 48, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2024 in Dandridge, Tennessee.
Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, July 12, 2024 in White’s Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers the family requests that a tree be planted in his honor.
Justin was born August 15, 1975 in Fort Worth, son of Jimmy Cecil Ward and Susan Darlene (Smith) Barber. He graduated from R. L. Paschal High School and then continued his education by obtaining his nursing degree from Grand Canyon University. Justin was a nurse for 20 years and gave loving care to many over the years. He enjoyed passing his knowledge of nursing on to others.
Justin had many interests in life including, going to the beach, playing soccer (which was a passion that he passed on to his daughter), and playing golf in his free time. He liked to Bar-B-Q, and he was a ride or die Cowboys fan. Justin loved to travel, and helping others. He was known for being happy and funny and could light up any room, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Justin was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jack Smith; grandmother, Mary Pope; and uncles, Ronnie Ward, and Kevin Smith.
Survivors include his daughter, Courtney Ward of Weatherford; Mom, Darlene Barber and Ken, of Joshua; grandmother, Verda Smith; sister, Kristina “Kristi” Wagens of Weatherford; nieces, Tara and Macy Hurley, Tiffany and Jimmy Chehab, Tracy and Natalie Moya, Tanna and Robert Dawson, and Tab and Tim Pigg; nephew, Tyler and Christy Wagens; and many extended family members, nurse family, and friends.
