Katie Beene

Katie Beene, 91, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2018. Graveside service: 2:00 PM, Thursday at East Greenwood Cemetery, Weatherford. Visitation: 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Wednesday at White's Funeral Home, Weatherford. Katie was born June 18, 1927 in Ludy, Texas to Jason and Marie Young. The Young Family moved to Weatherford in 1942. Katie graduated from Weatherford High School in 1945. She worked for ASCS in Weatherford for 25 years. Upon retirement, she enjoyed travel and genealogy. She was a daughter of the American Revolution. She lived in Egypt for a year with daughter, Carol, and then moved to Edmond, Oklahoma, where her daughter, Becky lived. She had many friends and family. Katie is preceded in death by husband, Doyle Beene; son, Richard Beene; twin daughter, Cheryl Beene; granddaughter, Tracy Davis; and grandson, Brandon Perkins. Survivors: Daughters, Carol Peacock and husband, Benny, of Weatherford and Becky Crow and husband, Bob, of Edmond, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Ashley Shetter and husband, Ken, of Burleson, Jessica Crow of Edmond, Oklahoma, Star Bolt and husband, Jeff, of Weatherford, Michael Crow and wife, Chandi, of Yukon, Oklahoma, Ryan Peacock and wife, Amanda, of Weatherford, and Amy Sexton and husband, Mike, of Weatherford; 9 great-grandchildren; and 6 great great-grandchildren.
