Kittie Lou Armstrong, 83, passed peacefully from this world to see the face of her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ the morning of Wednesday, August 4, 2021 in Fort Worth. Funeral: 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 11, 2021, at Zion Hill Community Church. Interment: Zion Hill Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at White's Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. Kittie Lou Parks was born on Sept. 7, 1937 in Fort Worth to Henry Neal Parks and Mary Lou Parks. She attended Weatherford High School where she was active in the drum line. Kittie went on to graduate from Howard Payne University with her Bachelor's degree where she met her husband, Harold Armstrong. She enjoyed a career as an administrative assistant in various fields, most notably in churches. Kittie was a devoted wife and mother. She was always prioritizing time for her children's activities and enjoyed a marriage of 62 years before Harold's passing in October of 2020. She adored her family and loved taking the time to visit them. Her most recent home was Bossier City, Louisiana, where she especially loved quilting and word finds. Kittie passed on to heaven while doing what she loved, visiting friends and family in Weatherford. Kittie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Harold Armstrong; parents, Henry Neal Parks and Mary Lou Parks; sister, Lela Warren; and daughter, Melissa Armstrong. Kittie's memory lives on through her daughters, Patricia Rodrigue and husband, Mark, and Glenna Angel and husband, Pete; grandchildren, Shelby Rodrigue, Austin Angel, Garrett Angel and Dalton Angel; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and treasured friends.
