To Live Stream Funeral Service Click Here Kyle Ryan Squires was a joy to this world from birth on March 27, 1981 to Leroy and Candie Squires in Renton, WA. Kyle was joined by baby sister, Rachel, 3 years later. Kyle was always active, athletic, and very competitive, enjoying and excelling especially at soccer. Kyle was raised in a Christian household and was involved in youth group through school and church. One particular mission trip to Mexico left a lifelong mark on Kyle; that being the nickname “Rooster.” When introducing himself to the local children, they heard “gallo” when he said his name, and translated to Spanish is rooster. The nickname stuck for good. Kyle graduated high school from Stadium High School, Tacoma in 1999. The following year, a mutual friend introduced Kyle to the love of his life, and future wife, Melanie. The two knew right away God planned their lives as one. They were immediately inseparable and were married on February 13, 2002. Kyle enlisted in the Army a few weeks later, which was during the volatile time following 9-11, and served as Crew Chief on a Blackhawk Helicopter at Ft. Hood, Texas. Kyle and Melanie welcomed their first child, Jaden Christopher, on October 25, 2002. They could not have been more proud. Nearly 24” long and 10-1/2 pounds, he was Kyle’s “Mini Me”. During his 6-year military career, Kyle was deployed twice to Iraq, each for a one-year tour for “Operation Iraqi Freedom”. May 25, 2006 brought their long awaited rainbow baby, Keira MacKenzie, daddy’s girl. Kyle was honorably discharged from the Army in December 2007, but always a public servant, he began his career in law enforcement with Seattle Police Department. January 3, 2010, Noah Andrew Thomas was born, again blessing us with another of Kyle’s “Mini Me”. For several years Kyle enjoyed his position with Seattle PD; however, with the growing public and political volatility, and their desire for a more wholesome environment for their children, Kyle resigned from Seattle PD and he and Melanie purchased their home in Weatherford, Texas. During the 6 months Kyle was in Weatherford, he became TCOLE certified (qualifying him for a position in TX law enforcement). It may not have been their plan, but having so much free time, Kyle, Melanie and the kids did more activities together and enjoyed each other’s company more in those 6 months than the last few years combined. Kyle adored his “wifey”, “honey”, "Momo", Melanie with all his heart, and was extremely proud of his 3 children. They each adored him as well. There wasn’t a soul who didn’t love Kyle or wasn’t proud to know him. He was genuine, and he was GOOD. We don’t know why God called him home on January 7, 2022, leaving us heartbroken, but we have to know that he is with Jesus, his Lord & Savior, and will be waiting and watching over us all until our reunion. Kyle is survived by his wife, Melanie, parents Leroy & Candie, sister Rachel (Marcus), son Jaden, daughter Keira, son Noah, in-laws Phil & Rana Mickelson, Weatherford, TX, Diggy Bell, Abilene, TX, brother-in-law Douglas Bell (Jessica), Abilene, TX, nephews Jackson and Preston, and niece Charlotte, and many beloved family members in the Pacific Northwest. Celebration of Life will be 10 AM, Saturday, January 22, 2022, at New River Fellowship 3252 Interstate 20 Frontage Rd, Hudson Oaks, TX 76087. Graveside service immediately following.
