LC "Lefty" Pryor, 88, of Azle, TX went to join the Lord on May 2, 2019 surrounded in song by his loving family. A celebration of life will be held Thursday, May 9 at Hilltop Family Church at 5 pm in Springtown, TX. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Lefty's preferred charities, Lonesome Dove Ranch and Young Life Wyoming. Lefty was born on September 8, 1930 in Jumbo, OK to George and Alice Pryor. He married Irene Emma McKinney (18 at the time) on August 26, 1951 at the age of 21 with whom he built an empire lasting 67 long and joy-filled years. He was drafted into the Army in 1953 where he protected his family and his country during the Korean war. Lefty moved his family to Azle in 1960 and to their current house shortly after where they have remained for 57 years. Lefty is survived by his wife, Irene, sisters, Sue Fisher, Becky Vanconnett and husband, Lee; brother, Frank Pryor and wife, Freida; children Karen May and husband, Mike, Karol "Jeannie" Cox and husband, Mike, Keith Pryor and wife, Mary Charles, Kenneth "Kenny" Pryor and wife, Tammy, Kelly Steele, Russell Pryor and wife, Jennifer, Jackie Capers and husband, Brian; 23 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, 12 spouses within those generations and many cousins, nephews and nieces. He rejoins his parents, and siblings George and Dorthey.
