Larry Eugene Verden passed away in North Richland Hills, Texas, on September 25, 2017. Visitation: Monday, October 2, 2017, at 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM; Funeral Service at 1:00 PM both at White’s Funeral Home Chapel – Springtown, Texas. Larry was born May 15, 1941, to James and Thelma Verden in Lexington, Missouri. He retired after 21 years in the service as Army Sergeant First Class. Later, he worked at Rite Welding Supply Company in Ft. Worth and then officially retired at the Azle Water Department. Larry was a faithful member of Agnes Baptist Church and a faithful Christian man. His hobbies included watching news, listening to the radio and discussing politics. He enjoyed spending time with his family, was a teaser and joked with all who came in contact with him, always with a smile on his face. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Nellie “Sullivan”; son, Alan Verden; granddaughter, Rosamerrie Bosque; brothers, Wayne Verden and Kenneth Verden; and sister, Joyce Duvall. Larry is survived by his wife, Ruth Verden; Brother, Riley Verden, Son Jerry Verden and wife, Nikki; Daughters Angela Bosque and husband Tommy, Cathy Gentry; Step-Daughter Cathy Atchison and husband, Tim; Step-son Danny Headley and wife, Dee. Grandparented Son, Thomas Bosque and many wonderful grandchildren and great-grandchildren.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Agnes Baptist Church-Manna Feeding Center, Agnes, Texas.
