Laura-Grace Brown passed away Thursday, June 13, 2024 in Azle.

Graveside service: 11:00 A.M. Tuesday June 18, 2024 at Ash Creek Cemetery, Azle.

Laura-Grace Olive Brown, 91, went to be with the Lord June 13, 2024 at Azle Manor Nursing Home in Azle. She was born in Michigan August 6, 1932 and grew up in Mobile, Albama. Laura -Grace survived tuberculosis as a teenager and met her future husband, through a close relative. They married and she became an Air Force Wife and Mother. She was a country singer and songwriter mostly appearing in and around Virginia. She adopted 2 additional children and created a large extended family. 

She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Charles, in 1993 and many of her siblings in recent years.

She leaves behind her sons, Charles Jr. and Rod; her daughter, Claudette and husband, Jon Kortz and daughter, Stephanie Wayland; son, Brian Brown and wife, Nicki; daughter-in-law, June Brown; grandchildren, Ashley and Chris Magers, Rod and Christina Brown II, Amy and Chris Childs, Mandy Bodrie, Chris Kortz, Shane Brown, Tiffany Yocom and James Wayland; and 12 great-grandchildren, Damyan, Vincent, Abby, Emily, Evangeline, Andrew, Cameron, Chance, Kaiden, Jace, Jakob. Ashton, Aubrey, Oliver, Braden, Chazden, Kyla, Ethan and Sky; and great-grandchild, Cecilia.
