Laurell Lea (Loflin) Barnes, 72, passed away in the late evening of Friday, February 2, 2024. Memorial Service: 2:00 P.M. Friday, February 16, 2024, at White’s Azle Funeral Home. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Mount Hope Cemetery in Anson. Laurell was born September 15, 1951, daughter of Wilburn Monroe and Wilma Dee (Warren) Loflin. Laurell was very “sugar and spice” and had a zest for life. She loved to dance and could be found every Saturday night at the Springtown Senior Center, two-stepping. She also enjoyed shopping and keeping with her glittery personality, her favorite things were anything that sparkled and cheering on her granddaughter as she played softball, because of all the things that brought her joy in life, her first love was her family. Her daughter and granddaughter were the light of her life. Laurell was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Lola Lindsey and Linda McDonald; brothers, Joe Loflin and David Loflin. She is survived by her daughter, Kyra Pitts and husband, Tommy; granddaughter, Morgan Pitts; numerous nieces and nephews; many other extended family and friends.
