Lalene D Cleary

Lalene Cleary, 79, was called home by The Lord on Thursday, February 6, 2020. Visitation:  Tuesday, February 11, 2020, 6-8 PM, White’s Funeral Chapel, Azle. Funeral Service:  Wednesday, February 12, 2020, 1:00 PM, White’s Funeral Chapel, Azle. Lalene Cleary was born March 22, 1940, in Vernon, Texas.  She moved to Lake Worth, with her parents and graduated from Lake Worth High School.  She married Benloyd Cleary in June of 1957.  Lalene worked at Northside Furniture Store, General Dynamics and later became a full time farmer, house wife and grandma.  She belonged to the Quarter Horse Association and Decatur Historical Society. Her favorite hobby was attending sports events that involved horse racing, basketball, football, cheer leading and high school plays. Lalene was preceded in death by her parents, David and Myrtle Davenport; husband, Benloyd Cleary; sister, Mae Dean Higgs; daughter, Karen Clark; and brother, Benny Davenport.   Survivors:  daughter, Pam Cleary; grandson, Chad Clark and wife, Brittany; granddaughter, Brianna Clark; great-grandchildren, Carson and Berkley Clark; niece, Sherry Schmedt and husband, Randy.
