Linda Henson Barker, 73, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, met her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loved ones. Memorial Service: 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at First United Methodist Church of Weatherford. Private Interment Visitation: 6 – 8 p.m. Monday, May 17, 2021 in White’s Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. Linda was born August 31, 1947 in Houston, daughter of Fred and Evelyn O’Brien Henson. She met and married Roger Barker and they spent over 50 wonderful years together. Linda was a devoted Pastor’s wife and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Weatherford. Her passion was teaching “Children’s Time”, a children’s service at her church. She loved the Lord and could quote you anything from the new testament. Linda was an avid bird watcher and specifically loved hummingbirds. She had a green thumb and could get anything to grow. Linda had a sweet spirit of kindness and generosity and always took a backseat to others. She wanted everyone else to shine. The family wishes to thank all of her caregivers that helped her for many years. The family suggests Greene’s Florist in Weatherford, should you desire to send flowers. Preceded in death by her parents; and son, Phil Barker. Survivors: Loving husband, Roger Barker, children, Walt Barker and wife, Ouida, Alan Barker and wife, Ellen, DeAnna Wilson and husband, Keven; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and many other friends and family.
