Lori Jean Charlton, 62, passed away at her home in Fort Worth on Monday, February 7, 2022. Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 15, 2022, in White’s Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. Visitation: 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service. Interment: Memory Gardens of the Valley, following the service. Lori was born June 27, 1959 in Dallas, daughter of Kerry Charlton and Sara Jean Williams Hammons. She graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Social Work and a Master’s of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling. Lori worked for Texas Workforce Commission for over 15 years and received the Excellence Award for her work there. She cared deeply for her clients and was very passionate about helping others. Lori worked for Home Depot for two years where she was Employee of the Month and where she made many friends. Lori was very creative and really enjoyed art. She had so much fun painting and would paint with family and friends. Lori enjoyed working with clay and made crosses that she shared as a ministry. She would crochet blankets and hotplates for friends and family as well. Lori was a Spiritual woman and a Prayer Warrior! Lori had a dear heart, loved sailing and all water sports. She loved to play, and always looked for ways to be a disciple for Christ. Lori is preceded in death by her sister, Leslie Charlton. She is survived by her parents, Sara Jean Hammons of Lewisville, and Kerry Charlton of San Antonio; son, David Clark; sisters, Linda Graham and husband, John, of Mineral Wells, Lisa Charlton of Terrell, Leanne Charlton and Glen Foster of Spring Branch; nieces and nephews, Leah, Kristin and Heidi Parrish, Paige Ludwig, Deana Busch, Briana, Jessica, Corina, and Jacob Foster and many friends.
