Lyndol Eugene Cherry

Lyndol Eugene Cherry, 84, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at his home after a short illness.

Graveside Service: 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 26, 2024 at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy., Dallas.

Lyndol was born July 11, 1940 in Cooper, Texas to James Rosser Cherry and Willie Ruth Brem Cherry. He and his siblings were raised by relatives as their parents died when the children were very young. Lyndol proudly and honorably served his country in the United States Army from February of 1959 until October of 1961.

Lyndol loved to travel as he made regular trips cross country to California. He was always finding an excuse to get in his pick-up truck and get on the road.

Lyndol Eugene Cherry was preceded in death by his father, James Rosser Cherry in 1943; by his mother, Willie Ruth Brem Cherry in 1950; his brother, John Henry Cherry on July 11, 2018; and his sister, Gracie Janice Cherry Milstead on January 18, 2018.

Survivors include several nieces and friends.
