Marlow Morris Orr, 85, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2017, in the arms of his loving wife.Graveside Service: 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at Palava Cemetery, Palava. Graveside Visitation: 10:30 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, prior to the service.Visitation: 3 - 5 p.m. Sunday, September 3, 2017 at White's Funeral Home, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford, 76086Morris was born April 24, 1932 in Walker, Kansas, son of Dean and Clara Orr. He proudly and honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Morris met and married Shirley Flint, and they spent many happy years together raising their family. He retired after 35 years of service as a meter supervisor for TXU Electric Company.Morris was a devout Christian man and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Sweetwater. He enjoyed fishing, especially at his son David's home, visiting his son Dennis, in West Texas and hearing all about his son Phillip's adventures. Morris enjoyed family gatherings and relaxing on the back porch with his little dog, Missy. He was so very proud of his family and loved them all deeply. Morris will be missed by all that knew him.He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Marvin and Sam Orr.Survivors: Wife of 62 years, Shirley Orr; sons, David Orr and wife, Vivian, Dennis Orr and wife, Laura, and Phillip Orr, and partner, Brenda Jackson; granddaughters, Tish Cantu, Jaci Meador, and Karli Caldwell; grandsons, Jake Orr and Jesse Orr; three great-grandchildren; sister, Shirley Paidl; brother, John Orr; and many extended family members and friends.
