In Loving Memory Martha Ruth Huse 1925-2023 Martha Ruth Huse, 97, a longtime resident of Parker County, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 13, 2023. Ruth was born December 15, 1925, to Chester and Viola Grobe near Weimar, Texas. She married L.D. Huse on June 2, 1944. They were married 63 years before L.D.’s passing in 2007. Ruth earned her library science degrees at TWU in Denton, TX. She was a longtime fixture in the library of Weatherford College, retiring as the head librarian in 1992. Ruth, while working and in retirement, belonged to many organizations in the Parker County area. She generously gave her time as a volunteer, officer, and member of these groups. She was an avid collector of angels, bears, bells, birds, and butterflies; many of which were gifts from family and friends. She is predeceased by her husband, her parents, an infant son, Don Anthony Huse, three siblings, and other cherished family members. She is survived by her daughter, Connie Nightingale and grandson, Andy Brison, along with many extended family members. Visitation for Ruth will be on Sunday, August 20, 2023, from 3pm to 5pm at White’s Funeral Home, 130 Houston Avenue, Weatherford, Texas 76086. The funeral service will be on Monday, August 21, 2023, at 10am at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1500 W. Ball Street, Weatherford, Texas. The commitment will immediately follow the funeral service and will be at Memory Gardens of The Valley Perpetual Care Cemetery, 5600 Mineral Wells Highway, Weatherford, TX 76088. Lunch will be served at Trinity Lutheran following the commitment service.
