Mary Jo Lyon, 84, beloved mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, passed away Monday, October 19, 2020. Graveside Service: 3 p.m. Saturday, October 24, 2020 in Aledo Brown Cemetery, Aledo. Mary Jo was born June 27, 1936 in Spearman, daughter of Marshall and Maggie Lois Gilliland Lambert. She married Ira Calvin Lyon and they spent many happy years together raising their family. Mary Jo loved gardening, her church and travelling. She enjoyed her projects, which included everything from remodeling the house to reupholstering furniture. But her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and friends. Mary Jo was a member of Aledo First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Lyon; parents, Marshall and Lois Lambert; brothers and sister, Hearshel Lambert, Yvonne Lambert Tullis, Bill Lambert, and Bob Lambert; and sister-in-law, Emily Lambert. Survivors: Sons, Tommy Lyon and Sandy Branch, of Aledo, and Darrell Lyon and wife, Melissa, of Azle; daughter, Pam Fuqua and husband, Terry Fuqua, Jr., of Aledo; grandsons, Matthew Fuqua, and Joshua Fuqua, both of Aledo; sisters-in-law, Clydene Lambert, and Charlene Lambert, both of Weatherford; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and a host of extended family members and dear friends.
