Mary Elizabeth (Houston) Walsingham, 79, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2025 at her home in Weatherford.
Visitation: 6 – 8 p.m. Friday, January 31, 2025 at White’s Funeral Home, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford.
Funeral Service: 10 a.m. Saturday, February 1, 2025 at White’s Funeral Home.
Graveside Service: 10 a.m. Thursday, February 6, 2024 at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy., Dallas.
Mary was born January 18, 1946 in Fort Worth, daughter of the late John Baldwin Houston and Dorothy Lillian (Collins) Houston. She met the love of her life, William Gary “Bill” Walsingham and they were married on July 6, 1968. They would go on to spend 56 happy years together.
Mary was an accounting clerk by trade, and spent 24 years working for the University of North Texas Health Science Center of Fort Worth. She was a member of Sweet Adaline’s, the Quilting Club, and the Red Hat Society of Fort Worth.
Of all of the things in life that brought her joy, her first love was her family. Her children and grandchildren were the light of her life.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her beloved husband, Bill Walsingham; children, Robert Wayne Walsingham, Kathryn Denise Howard (Kurt), and Kimberly Dawn Hock (Timothy); grandchildren, Sarah Parrott (Justin), Titan Hock, Kourtney Hock, William Howard, Cameron Howard, Andrew Walsingham, and Natalie Walsingham; one great-grandchild, Kaiden Parrott; brother, Col. Jerry B. Houston, retired; sister-in-law, Dixie Houston; numerous other extended family members, and a lifetime of friends.
