Mattie Jean Dikes, 89, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2018. Service: 2 p.m. Monday at White's Funeral Home, 401 N. Main, Springtown, 76082. Interment: Springtown Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at White's Funeral Home. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Springtown Senior Center, P.O. Box 872, Springtown, 76082. Jean was born April 13, 1929 in Floyd County, Texas to Isiah and Addie Bell Starkey. She married the love of her life, William R. Dikes, December 10, 1949 in Rhome, Texas, and they shared many happy years together until his passing in 2004. She helped work the family dairy farm, Dikes Jersey Farm, for 61 years. She was also a past matron of the Eastern Star as well as a member of the First Baptist Church of Springtown. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. The family would like extend their gratitude to Decatur Medical Lodge for all of their loving care over the past 8 years. They would also like to thank the staff of Solaris Hospice for their tender care in Jean's final days. Jean was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Alvin Pinner; second husband, Robert Dikes; and sister, Wanda Wylie. Survivors: sons, Glen Dikes and wife, Sharon, of Oklahoma City, and Bill Dikes of Springtown; and grandchildren, Lindsay Dikes Larsen and husband, Stephen, of Springdale, AR, Cara Dikes McCarty and husband, Micah, of Amber, OK, and Curt Dikes and Aubree Vaughan, of Oklahoma City; 7 great-grandchildren.
