Odessa M. Harris, 100, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, passed away Monday, August 19, 2019. Service: 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Community Bible Fellowship, Reno Interment: Nelson Cemetery, Reno Visitation: 6 to 8 P.M. Friday at White’s Azle Funeral Home, Azle Odessa was born September 7, 1918 to Joseph and Beatrice Taylor Martin in Seminole, Oklahoma. As a child she picked cotton traveling in a covered wagon while her mother was preaching, gardening and making children’s clothes out of feed sacks. Odessa worked at Ranch Oak Turkey Farm drove a school bus for 25 years and helped raise grandchildren and made quilts. She was a member of Community Bible Fellowship for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ewell Harris in May of 1983; sons, Bobby Harris; daughters, Sharon Harris and Mary Shero; brother, Rubert Martin; and sister, Oneta Jones. Survivors: Son, Harry Harris and wife, Linda; daughters, Valeta Baker and husband, Jack, Beverly Rice and husband, Frankie, and Peggy Brantley; 26 grandchildren; numerous great and great-great and great-great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Martha Martin; and daughter-in-law, Gail Harris; son-in-law, Don Dale.
