Oweeda Sheets, 86, passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2022 at hospital in Fort Worth. Service: 2:00 P.M. Friday, March 25, 2022 at GracePointe Church, 4110 E Hwy. 199, Springtown 76082. Visitation: 6 to 8 P.M. Thursday, March 24, 2022 at White’s Funeral Home, Azle Interment: Ash Creek Cemetery, Azle. Oweeda was born January 15, 1936 to Raymond Francis Smith and Adell Arterbury Smith in Port Angeles, WA. During her early years, her family moved around eventually settling in the Dallas area. She raised her son in the Dallas area while working for the City of Mesquite in the building department. Oweeda and husband, L.D. have been active members of the GracePointe Church in Springtown since 2000. She loved sewing, cooking, travelling, quick trips to Winstar Casino, and organizing yearly family reunions around the Easter holiday. Oweeda is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Adell Smith; husband, Charles Ray Hill and husband, Marcus Murphree; siblings Wallace Smith, Donald Smith, and Billy Smith; and, Analee Smith. She is survived by her husband, L.D. Sheets of Azle; son, Kenneth Hill and wife, Roberta of Alamosa, CO; granddaughter, Sharlie Mejia and husband, Gilberto of Little Elm; great-grandchildren, Mandaline, Lainie, Julius, and Claire Mejia; step-son, Shane Sheets and wife, Beth; step-grandchildren, Valerie and husband, Rob Short, Tracy andhusband, Brandon White; Gus Sheets, Shana McCullough and husband, Mike; step-great grandchildren Rylan, Lexi, Lillibeth, Brody, Mckinely, Maklynn, McKoy, her Colorado family, Lynn, Mike, Sophia, Bryan and many relatives and friends who brightened her life.
