Patricia Ann "Pat" Key

Patricia Ann (Hudson) Key, 82, passed away on Monday, November 18, 2024 in Weatherford.

Funeral Service: 1 p.m. Monday, November 25, 2024 at First Baptist Church of Dennis, 7600 FM Road 1189, Lipan.

Interment: Johnson Cemetery in Dennis.

Pat was born November 1, 1942 in Mansfield, daughter of J.D. Hudson, Sr. and Edna Earl (Brown) Hudson. She met the love of her life, James Wesley Key, and they were married on August 27, 1976 in Rendon. They would go on to spend 41 happy years together until his passing in 2017.

Pat was a perfectionist with impeccable attention to detail. This made her very successful in her career as a Plant Administrator for Embridge Gas Company. She excelled in her career and spent a tenure that spanned 30 plus years before retiring.

Pat loved the outdoors, she loved fishing, hunting, and playing golf. She also loved to travel. Of all of her interests in life, her first love was her family. Her children and grandchildren were the light of her life.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Wesley Key; and brother, Doug Hudson.

Survivors include her sons, Kenneth Southard, Darel Southard (Becky), and Jason Southard (Kimberly); grandchildren, Emma Southard, Peyton Williams, Stetson Southard, Desiree Parker, Jacee Southard, and Jaydon Southard; great-grandchildren, Bentley Parker, Alex Parker, Ruger Parker, Harlyn Parker, and Titan Parker; brothers, J. D. “Skippy” Hudson, Jr., and Tony Hudson; and sister, Patsy Harris.
