Patricia Jean Nightingale passed away peacefully on March 21, 2018 at College Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Weatherford, where she had been a resident for the past four and a half years. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at St. Stephen Catholic Chapel located at 211 S. Main St., Weatherford, Texas 76086. Patricia was born November 12, 1927 in Minneapolis, Minnesota and grew up in Decatur, Illinois. After living in New York and Canada for many years, she moved to Texas with her husband and family in 1973. Patricia worked as a realtor for several years and volunteered for many years at Resources for Recovery, an outreach program assisting the poor, at her parish church, St. Michaels in Bedford, Texas. She loved working with others, sharing her experience, strength and hope. Patricia was an avid reader and continued general studies at Tarrant County College. She was a loving mother and grandmother, a good friend to many who loved her and beloved by all her family. Her passing leaves a deep void in the hearts of many. Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph R. Nightingale; and her brothers, Gerald and Robert Horton. She leaves behind three children, Robert Edward Nightingale of Fayetteville, Georgia, Janet Louise (Nightingale) Haslam of Weatherford, Texas, and Ellen Jean (Nightingale) Morris of North Richland Hills, Texas; six grandchildren, Bradley Briseno of Weatherford, Texas, Corinne Dunn of Fayetteville, Georgia, Kevin Nightingale of Savannah, Georgia, Joey Allen of Keller, Texas, Samantha Brunt of North Richland Hills, Texas, Thomas Brunt of North Richland Hills, Texas; a step-granddaughter, Ashley Moseley of Frankfurt, Germany; and six great-grandchildren.
