Patricia Ann George Sloan, 77, of Azle, passed away Monday, September 30, 2019. Funeral Service: 2 p.m. Friday, October 4, 2019 at Ash Creek Baptist Church, 300 S. Stewart St., Azle 76020. Interment: Ash Creek Cemetery, Azle. Visitation: 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday at White’s Funeral Home, 105 Denver Tr., Azle. Patti, as she was known, was born June 20, 1942 in Fort Worth, to William Newton George, Jr. and Lonnie Faye Rogers George. Patti had many talents. To mention just a few, she was a pianist and organist for many churches, including Baptist, Christian, Methodist, and Messianic and also taught piano. Patti was a Commercial Real Estate Agent, pizza restaurant franchise owner, and a High School Biology Teacher, retiring after 14 years at Azle I.S.D. She met Bobby Ray Sloan in May of 1965. Two weeks and six days later, they were married. In June of 2019, they celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary. In looking at Facebook, E-mail, and text messages, Patti was loved and admired not by many, but by 100’s who called her “friend”. Patti is survived by her husband, Bobby R. Sloan; children, Stephani Ann Spruill and husband, Gary Mack, Christopher William Sloan and wife, Cindy, Jennifer Sloan Malcomson and husband, Ken and Micah Willis Sloan; sisters-in law, Elizabeth Sloan, and Donna Steed; twelve grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.
