Patsy Ann Carroll

November 1, 1943 — December 6, 2024

Springtown

Patsy Ann Carroll, age 81, of Springtown, Texas, passed away on December 6, 2024. Born on November 1, 1943, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Patsy was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of many.

Raised in Kennedy Heights, a suburb of Cincinnati, she shared a happy childhood with her two sisters, Sue and Carol. Patsy was a proud graduate of Woodward High School and furthered her education at the University of Cincinnati, where she earned an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Development. Her passion for nurturing young minds led her to a fulfilling career as a preschool teacher, first at the Hansel & Gretel School and later at the Providence Hospital Children's Center. In her later years, she enjoyed engaging with the community, working at Thriftway and Kroger, where her friendly demeanor and love for conversation endeared her to many customers.

Patsy had a particularly deep love for her family, frequently gathering them for celebrations and cherished family traditions. Christmas at her house was a special event, filled with laughter, warmth, and the delightful aroma of her holiday baking. She relished spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, especially creating sweet treats and cookies together.

Outside of her family life, Patsy's adventurous spirit shone through her hobbies. As a child, she dreamt of becoming a professional dancer or ice skater, fueling her lifelong enjoyment of "Dancing With The Stars." In her younger adult years, she enjoyed bowling, participating in a couples’ league, and hosting make-up parties. Her love of gardening resulted in stunning vegetable and flower gardens that were a source of pride and joy. An avid reader, she particularly enjoyed books centered on colonial and pioneer periods. Her artistic flair was evident in her skilled flower arranging, a talent she shared at multiple family weddings. She loved all kinds of music, but especially John Denver, Kenny rogers and Barry Manilow.

Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, Harold Newman (1986) and Rosalind Newman (1997). She leaves behind her loving sisters, Suzanne Mengert and Carol Eickenhorst; her children, son, Bryan Kline and wife Marie, son, Michael Kline and wife Kristy, and daughter, Kelly Cappoen and husband, Kristof. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Bryan Thomas Kline, Jessica Scroggins and husband, Trent, Jason Kline, Kyle Kline, Anthony Kline, Gregory Kline, Miranda Hurd and husband, Daniel, Franklin Kline, and Zoey Kline. She also adored her great-grandchildren: Annastasia Scroggins, Penelope Hurd, and Harrison Hurd. Patsy loved her little dogs, Buddy and Rusty
