Paul Lavaughn Harper

Paul Lavaughn Harper, age 81, passed away on Aug 31, 2018 at home with his family.  He was born in Ider, AL on Sept 11, 1936, the son of late Arthur Guy Harper and late Lona Mae Harper.Services provided by Hilltop Family Church, 1227 Cottondale Rd, Springtown, TX on Tuesday, September 11, 2018, at 1 PM. Paul was an active member of the Air National Guard of Chattanooga, TN for 9 years. He was also employed for 29 years with Siemens and retired in 1995. He was a member of Hilltop Family Church in Springtown and have been attending services since early 2000’s. Paul was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Mae Nell Hartman. He was survived by his wife of 62 years, Alice Faye Harper, his children Tamara Paulette Jackson, Richard Guy Harper, and John Derrick Harper and wife Pam. Grandchildren includes James Jackson, Alicia Teague and husband Charles, Justin Harper and wife Rebekka, Sarah Barrick, Nicole Harper, Sierra Harper, and Shane Harper. He was blessed with 1 great granddaughter and 6 great grandsons and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Hilltop Family Church’s Youth Ministry.
