Our beloved Peggy Ruth Carpenter passed away peacefully at her home in Azle, Texas, on November 23, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
Visitation: Tuesday, November 26, 2024, White's Funeral Home, 105 Denver Trail, Azle.
A service to celebrate Peggy’s life will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at Veal Station Cemetery at 11 a.m. for a graveside service.
Peggy was born on December 3, 1942 in Fort Worth, daughter of Jimmy Mitchell and Maurine Evelyn (Tucker) Dalton. Peggy lived a remarkable life filled with grace, love, and dedication to her family and community.
Peggy was married to the love of her life, Jackie Carpenter, for 60 wonderful years. Together, they built a legacy of faith, love, and hard work that continues to inspire all who knew them. Peggy was the proud and devoted mother of four beautiful children: John, Jim, Tim, and Christy.
Her life was a testament to selflessness and creativity. Peggy dedicated herself to her family, her community, and her cherished Sunday school class, which she faithfully taught for over 50 years at Ash Creek Baptist Church. A gifted artist, Peggy expressed her vibrant spirit through her paintings and creative works. She also played an integral role in the family business, Rural Gas, contributing her time and talents since the mid-1970s.
Peggy shared a lifelong bond with her best friends, Brenda, Scottie, and Sammie, whose friendship brought her so much joy and laughter over the years.
Peggy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jackie Carpenter. She is survived by her children, John Carpenter and his wife, Kim, Jim Carpenter and his wife, Lynne, Tim Carpenter and his wife, Kathy, and Christy Ross and her husband, John; her sister, Betsy, and her husband, Wayne; her 9 grandchildren; her 9 great-grandchildren; and her nieces and nephews, all of whom brought her immense pride and joy. Her love, faith, and wisdom will continue to guide them for generations to come.
Peggy’s legacy of love, creativity, and devotion will forever live in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
