Perry Hugh Winkle, 79, beloved father, granddad, brother and friend, passed away Thursday, August 9, 2018 at a local care facility.Funeral Service: 1 p.m. Monday, August 13, 2018 at White’s Funeral Home, Azle Chapel, 105 Denver Trail, Azle, Texas 76020.Interment: Newsom Family Cemetery, Parker County, TexasVisitation: 10 a.m. to 12 noon Monday at the White’s Funeral Home, Azle.Perry was born in Franklin County, Texas to Vernon and Alyne Winkle. He was raised in Garland. Perry drove a truck for Kimble Foods and worked his way up to Fleet Superintendent with Winn-Dixie. He later retired from Weyerhaeuser Paper Company as Company DOT Auditor. Perry was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Neva Sliger Winkle; son, Douglas Winkle; his parents; and two grandchildren.Survivors: Sons, James Winkle and wife, Sherry, Phillip Winkle and wife, Lori, Scott Winkle and wife, Patricia, and Rob Winkle and wife, Angie; grandchildren, Ryan Winkle and wife, April, Nathan Winkle, Colton Winkle and wife, Sophie, Ty Winkle, Mickey Winkle, Wyatt Winkle, Garrett Surginer and fiance, Lauren Abigail Wallace, Rusty Surginer, and Justin Surginer; great-grandchildren, Ada, Ryder, and Jackson; sisters, JoAnn Phy and husband, Finis, and Nancy Wagoner. Perry also leaves behind nieces, nephews, other loving family members and friends.
