Richard Edward Guest, Jr.

Richard Edward Guest, Jr., 57, of Weatherford, Texas passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, surrounded by family and friends.

Richard was born on October 18th, 1967, in Sweetwater, Texas, a son of the late Richard Edward Guest and Donna Maxine Guest. 

Richard worked alongside his father, mother and brother in the manufacturing industry and built a successful business that continues today. After a decade, he decided to pursue a career in the renewable industry, and taking with him his extensive experience as a salesman. Richard was a masterful negotiator with an innate ability to build trust and foster long lasting relationships. He never met a stranger, and those that knew him loved him. We will miss his larger-than-life personality, his smile, mischievous laugh and most of all, his tender heartedness. 

While Richard left us way too soon, his generosity, compassion and warmth will be his legacy to all that were touched by his presence. Richard adored his nephews and great nephew and found pride in sharing his passion for horses, guns and hunting. His impact shaped the men they are today and will no doubt continue with Nolan. 

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Edward Guest Sr., and Donna Maxine Guest.

Richard is survived by his brother, Michael Guest; Michael’s wife, Shannon; his nephews, Logan Guest (Jess) and Lane Guest (Leslie); and his great nephew, Nolan Guest. He also leaves behind his Aunt Dianne Adams; cousin, Angela Adams; Aunt Jill Smith (Robert); and cousins, Alissa, and Crystal Galliher (Wes); in addition to a large circle of friends who he considered family. 

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, March 1st, 2025 at 10 a.m. at the White’s Funeral Home Chapel, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford, Texas. A small reception will immediately follow and will be announced at the Memorial Service.
