It is with great sadness that we share this news, Richard Dean “Dicky” Hogan, II passed away unexpectedly Friday, June 7, 2024, in his barn.
Born on August 7, 1973, in Fort Worth, Texas, son of Richard Hogan and Cindy Hogan. Dicky graduated from Weatherford High School in 1992 and went directly to work with his father. Shortly thereafter the successful single owner Commercial Construction Company became a legendary Father and Son company. Dicky continued his hard work and dedication with the business after the passing of his father until his last day on this earth.
On September 23, 2000, Dicky married Rebecca Payne of Weatherford and together they had a precious son, Jack. Dicky’s achievements were many, but his crowning achievement was his family: wife, Becca, and their son, Jack. The family adventures he led and the incredible memories he created will last a lifetime for all.
Dicky lived big and without fear. A man who loved to hunt and explore on his extended properties by motor vehicle or his walking boots.
Dicky had an engineered and creative mind; he could build anything. A customer once quoted “Dicky brought lil gifts of sunshine and goodness to our sometimes difficult lives”. Dicky leaves behind a legacy of hard work and happiness to all whom he was near. He could be found helping anyone who needed help whether it was family, friends, or a stranger.
Dicky gave tirelessly of his time and talent in the care of his mother, Cindy Hogan, and his parents-in-law. His contributions were invaluable and left an indelible mark on those around him.
We celebrate a life well lived but ended too soon. "How lucky are we to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard". Dicky will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Preceded in death by his memorable father, Richard Hogan, and loving sister, Amy Hogan Stockstill.
Dicky is survived by his wife, Rebecca Hogan; remarkable son, Jack Landon Hogan; his loving mother, Cindy Hogan; and sister; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family members and life-long friends.
