Robert Charles Pierce, age 75, of Weatherford, Texas, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 11, 2024. He was born on December 4, 1949, in Seminole, Oklahoma, to Jess Franklin Pierce and Stella Lorene Harris Pierce. Robert was the youngest of 8 children.
Robert was preceded in death by his beloved brother, Carl Pierce; sisters, June Owens, Betty Pierce, and Velta Flud; and his parents, Jess and Stella Pierce.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Evelyn Pierce, who was the love of his life. Robert is also survived by his sisters, Thelma Law, Sue Gragg, and Joyce Flud; his children, John David and Carmen Howell, Franklin and Jody Pierce, Sheila and Chris Jeffers, and Amanda and Jeff Jackson; 12 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous extended family members and dear friends.
Robert’s work life was marked by dedication and hard work, including time spent at International Paper Company, Lockheed Martin, and as a long-time truck driver. He retired in 2011, cherishing the opportunity to spend more time doing what he loved.
An avid lover of the outdoors, Robert enjoyed camping, fishing, and traveling with his family and friends. He found peace and joy in the simplicity of nature and cherished the many trips spent with loved ones. Robert also had a passion for woodworking and spent countless hours working on various projects around the house.
He will be remembered for his generous spirit, his deep love for his family, and his ability to brighten any room with his laughter and presence. Robert will be missed by all who knew him, and his memory will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at White’s Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. The family would like to invite you to the graveside service being held after the funeral at Memory Gardens of the Valley located at 5600 Mineral Wells Hwy., Weatherford, Texas 76088.
