Robert Herman Tinkis

Robert Herman (Bob) Tinkis, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, passed away Friday, July 17, 2020, after a courageous battle with cancer. No service is planned at this time. Bob was born on February 11, 1939 to Russell and Loretta Tinkis in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. He was an avid outdoorsman and huge participant/fan of hockey. After his Career in the aviation industry, (Braniff Airlines and Dalfort Aviation) he continued until retirement in the landscape industry with his sons. Survivors: Wife of 57 years, Shirley Ann Smith Tinkis of Rhome; sons, Bob Tinkis of Dallas, and Jerry Tinkis and wife, Gwen, of Colleyville; three grandsons, Grant, Dane and Colt Tinkis; sister, Donelda Horne and husband, Bill, of Hopkinton, NH; and his faithful dog, Jake.
