Rodney Alan Bell, 46, loving husband, father and son, passed away on December 17th, 2024.
Memorial Visitation: 5-7pm on Monday December 30th at White’s Funeral Home in Weatherford.
Rodney Alan Bell was born on January 19th, 1978 in Waco, to Danny and Patsy Bell.
Rodney was a graduate of Weatherford High School and pursued several years of higher education. He was sweet, kind, and generous—a romantic soul who knew how to lighten the mood with a well-timed joke, especially in serious moments. He was a man of strong faith, finding comfort and strength in his love for the Lord. He brought joy to his family, especially his daughters, often finding ways to embarrass them with his playful antics.
Rodney dedicated his professional life to carpentry, where he primarily focused on trim work, exhibiting his craftsmanship and attention to detail. His career also included truck driving and working for the railroad. His commitment to his work was evident as he was always covered in sawdust when he got home.
There are countless memories etched in the hearts of those who loved him. Some cherished memories for Alexis will be the times spent riding up a hill they called "Big Mountain" near Pizza Hut, where they would jam out to music by Alvin and the Chipmunks, as well as "Daydream Believer" and "I'm A Believer" by The Monkees. Another important memory to Alexis was after she had her wisdom teeth removed, he filled her pantry with soup and because she was medicated she opened up about some secrets she had kept, leading to a deeper connection between them.
Rodney touched the lives of many, always ready with a helping hand or a good joke. He enjoyed making custom costumes that delighted his kids and was known for his late-night munchies, sneaking snacks and sharing midnight bowls of cereal, or making quick runs to Whataburger, turning everyday moments into cherished family traditions.
Rodney is survived by his beloved wife, Susie Bell; his parents, Danny and Patsy Bell; his cherished daughters, Alexis Bell and Sydney Bell. He also leaves behind his brothers, Randy Bell, Ryan Bell, and Ricky Bell and wife Dena; along with children, Alisha Alton and husband Joshua, Danelle Carney and husband Kyle, and Jacob Kiker. Rodney was also a proud uncle to many nieces and nephews, as well as a loving grandparent to his grandchildren and a devoted companion to his pets.
As we remember Rodney Alan Bell, we celebrate a life characterized by love, laughter, and compassion. His legacy will resonate in the hearts of all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
