Rodney William Leatherwood, 55, passed away on Saturday October 14, 2023 in Graford. Visitation: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Friday, October 20, 2023 in White’s Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford. Funeral Service: 12:00 p.m. Friday, October 20, 2023 in White’s Chapel of Memories, Weatherford. Rodney was born August 27, 1968 in Houston, son of Leola “Sandy” Naderi. He worked for many years in the Oil & Gas industry. This career took him all over the United States and to several foreign countries. Rodney was a kind and gentle person with a sweet spirit. He had a deep love for the outdoors, with a passion for hunting, fishing, and camping. In fact, he passed peacefully after enjoying a cool breezy day at Possum Kingdom Lake. As Rodney left his favorite place for the final time, the deer that he fed so many times were gathering to bid him farewell. He also loved cars and trucks, and could often be found working on them as long as his health would allow. Of all the things Rodney enjoyed in life, his first love was his family. His daughters were the light of his life, and he enjoyed large family gatherings, especially the food. We all loved him and will miss him dearly. Survivors include his daughters, Rileigh Leatherwood, and Ashleigh Leatherwood; mother, Sandy Naderi (Allen); brother, Kian Matthew Naderi; half-brother, Bart Colson and several other half-brothers and half-sisters; aunts, Stella Sumbera, Lora Linam (Bob), Andrea Martin (Wayne), and Betty Fussell (Bill); numerous cousins; and a host of extended family members and friends.
