Rubie Marie Noblett, 93, passed from this world to join Jesus in heaven on July 13, 2018. She was born to the late John Elmon and Lilly Marian Yeater on August 3, 1924 in Karnes City, TX. Marie grew up in Harlingen, TX and graduated from Harlingen High School in 1942 and later attended and graduated from Durham Business College. Memorial service: 11:00 A.M. Monday, July 16, 2018 at White's Funeral Home in Weatherford, TX. Graveside services: 3:00 P.M. Thursday, July19, 2018 at Restlawn Memorial Park in La Feria, TX. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center in Austin, TX. She married James G. Noblett in December 1945 after he returned from service in the Navy during WWII. She loved riding on the back of Jim's Harley which they rode to San Antonio to get married. They lived in Corpus Christi, TX for a short time and then settled back in Harlingen where they raised their two children, James Jr., and Jean. Marie worked for Pittman and Davis gift fruit company in Harlingen for many years until she and Jim retired to La Feria, TX. After Jim's passing in 2007, Marie moved to Friendswood, TX where she lived for 10 years in The Village on the Park independent living community. Although battling the after effects of a stroke in 2005, she still enjoyed taking field trips, especially to see the wildflowers along the Texas highways. She loved her family very much and was always ready for a visit with her kids and grandkids. Marie is survived by two children, Jim (Barbara) Noblett of Liberty Hill, TX, and Jean Noblett of Azle, TX. ; grandchildren, Corinne (Chris) Johnson, Anna (Scott) Vickers, Rachel (Justin) Isaacs, Brianna (Jeff) Mink, and Stephen (Adrianna) Kirchner; and 9 great-grandchildren.
