Ruth Ann Lewis-Burton, 82, passed away Thursday, September 3, 2020. Graveside Service: 2 p.m. Thursday, September 10, 2020 in Elmhurst Cemetery in Guymon, Oklahoma. Visitation: 6 – 8 p.m. Tuesday, September 8, 2020 in White’s Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford, Texas 76086. Ruth was born June 11, 1938 in Great Bend, Kansas, daughter of Theron and Opal Lewis. The family migrated to South Central Texas when she was a small child. Ruth graduated from Sinton High School in Sinton, Texas and later Bethany Nazarene College in Bethany, Oklahoma. She taught Home Economics in Campo, Colorado, where she met her husband, Lloyd Burton. They both taught in Elkhart, Kansas. From there he taught in the Weatherford, Texas area and she worked with an Interior Decorator until they retired. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, William Lloyd Burton; her parents; older brother; and younger sister. Survivors: Daughter, of Oklahoma; three grandchildren; son, of Weatherford; and younger brother, of Illinois.
