Sharron was born on December 31, 1945 to Eugene and Virginia Ford in Carterville, Illinois. The family moved to Houston, Texas a few years later, where she grew up. She had a passion for serving others that shone through her work, most notably as an events coordinator for senior centers, a wildlife rehabber, and an ombudsman for nursing home patients. Sharron was also a talented singer, performing on many stages in Houston, and an avid sports fan, always cheering on her beloved Texas Rangers and Dallas Stars.

She was preceded in death by both parents; and her brothers, Danny and Larry Ford; as well as her beloved husband, Don Griffies.

Sharron is survived by her daughters, Kimberly Thomas, and Kelley Lawrence, their husbands, Mark Thomas, and Allen Lawrence; four grandchildren, Victoria Boyles and her husband, Michael, Matthew Thomas and his wife, Morgan, Alexandria Lawrence, and Gabriel Lawrence; and four great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Katelynn, Melody, and Nathan Boyles.

Though we grieve our loss on Earth, we rejoice in the knowledge that we will all be reunited in Heaven. We have the blessed assurance that Christ paid the penalty for sin on the Cross, died voluntarily, and rose again to sit at the right hand of God the Father, and that by grace through faith in Him, we are saved. “O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? Thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” “I am the resurrection and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.”
