Sherry E. Larimore, age 69, passed away May 1, 2022 surrounded by family at Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital, in Arlington TX. She resided in Fort Worth, TX having spent much of her life in Dallas, TX and, later, Springtown, TX. Funeral Service: 3:00 p.m., Saturday, May 7, 2022 at White’s Funeral Home Chapel in Springtown. Interment: 4:30 p.m., Saturday, May 7, 2022 in Springtown Cemetery. Sherry was born November 13, 1952, in Austin, TX, the daughter of June Everitt & the late Patrick Everitt. She graduated from W.T. White High School in 1971, and married the late Steven J. Larimore on May 1, 1982 in Dallas, Texas. During her life, she founded & built Sherry’s Shirt City in Dallas, TX within the Bishop Arts District. She made shirts for many different organizations, groups, events, like KLIF music festivals, and even at one point, the Dixie Chicks. She subsequently moved to Springtown where she settled & raised her children. There she worked for the Springtown School district as a substitute teacher, where she found one of her great passions. Like most teachers, there was no moment she loved more than when she saw a child finally grasp the subject that she was trying to teach them. That ah-ha moment and light of recognition was something that she really enjoyed seeing. Later, she moved to Fort Worth & worked as a Lyft/Uber driver. She enjoyed meeting people on their travels and often came home with interesting and sometimes amusing stories. She is survived by her son, Brett Larimore of Whitehouse, TX; daughter, Kelsey Larimore of Fort Worth, TX; grandchildren, Lydia and Allison Larimore of Whitehouse, TX; and mother, June Everitt of Springtown, TX.
